Big unit… Big flavor
Received this as a gift and I love it. Fresh ground coffee by the cup. It makes great coffee. The unit is larger than most coffee makers, but fits well under the cupboard.Pros: make great coffee.Cons: has a few quirks, but watching a YouTube or two you can figure out out. Makes noise at startup and while grinding the beans, so if you need to brew in silence… This is not the one for you. Seems sturdy and self cleaning… Maintenance is simple.

Makes mornings brighter
I’ve had this espresso machine only a week and it’s my favorite thing in the kitchen. I did a lot of research and comparing before buying this model. I wanted a simple machine that did not require much maintenance. It makes 1-2 oz espresso shots and regular 8 oz cups of coffee. That’s all I need. It steams milk with a basic wand which works better than I expected. About the wand: it only has 2 parts which makes cleaning very easy. It does not draw milk through the machine at all which is what I wanted. Who wants to fiddle with worrying about cleaning milk out of internal mechanisms? You won’t be able to brew coffee and steam milk at the same time, which has not posed a problem for me. The coffee brewing is quick and can be done on the heels of steaming milk. I am not a coffee aficionado, most of my cups coming from a drip maker or a Keurig so take my perspective as you see fit. But I love the flavor of the coffee that comes from this machine. It tastes nice and dense with no weird aftertaste. For coffee beans, Philips recommends a light to medium roast. Look for beans with no oily shine. I signed up for a subscription for the Lavazza Super Crema on Amazon and they are so wonderful together. I wish I could retire early and sit and drink this coffee made by this machine all day. Alas, I have a good 15-20 more years. But waking up to this good coffee/machine combo every morning sure makes the days a little happier.

Functional and good shape
I purchased refurbished Philips 2200 coffee machine this time. Before I put order in place, I got a little worry on the quality of refurbished machine. After over 2 weeks try, I think the quality of this refurbished coffee machine is just working perfectly. I am happy with this machine. Let me keep monitoring it.

Love it!
Had a Saeco Vienna for 16 years, and it was tired. Got the 2200 with the LatteGo. So far it’s everything I hoped for. Make great cappuccinos and coffee and espresso. Seems to use less coffee than the Vienna.Very happy with this machine.

Great automatic espresso machine
This is a great, fully automatic espresso, coffee and cappuccino maker. Very easy to use and it makes great coffee drinks. The bean compartment could be a bit larger, but that’s the only criticism I can come up with. It works as well as many of the much more expensive machines out there, great value for money.

Great coffee!
Bought as “Amazon refurbished” and it works as described and makes great coffee. Brewing temperature is about right for immediate sipping. There were no surprises regarding the refurbished condition. It was actually probably better than described. The design is nice, it is not unpleasant to look at but it does take up a bit of counter space, about 2-3 times more than a regular drip coffee maker or Keurig. Over a couple months of several times a day use, it has been 100% reliable. The refurbished price made it a good value.

Game changer for those who want cafe quality drinks at home.
1. Exceptional Coffee Quality: The espresso and coffee it produces are rich, flavorful, and aromatic. The adjustable grind settings ensure you can tailor your brew to your taste.2. Intuitive Touch Display: The user-friendly interface makes it easy to select and customize drinks like espresso, cappuccino, or latte macchiato.3. Built-In Milk Frother: The LatteGo system creates creamy, frothy milk effortlessly, adding a professional touch to your beverages.4. Customizable Settings: You can adjust coffee strength, grind size, and water volume to create your perfect cup every time.5. Low Maintenance: The AquaClean filter reduces the need for frequent descaling, and the detachable parts are easy to clean. The water tank is Small so sometimes limiting if you’re making multiple drinks for guests.Like most espresso machines, it’s a bit noisy during grinding and brewing. It’s an investment, but the quality and features make it worth the cost for coffee enthusiasts.

Excellent for the value!!
I have been shopping for this type of coffee maker for some time (sick of k-cups). I initially bought a much more expensive brand but returned it (to complicated to clean etc.). This coffee maker is excellent. Was so easy to set up and Coffee tastes great. Cappuccino feature is so convenient and produces great froth. I guess the only negative is the size of the water tank and that it pushes out water into the collection tray with every self cleaning. I just keep a small glass bowel to remedy it. Overall, I am super happy with my Phillpps!!!

5 Star Product (with one MAJOR CAVEAT)
I had been shopping for an automatic espresso machine for a while but was not sure which to choose. I had narrowed down to three based on price and features and this model by Phillips made the cut. When I saw it on sale I jumped on it and was glad I did. There was one fairly aggravating element though that I will share but first the good aspects of this machine. It is well built and performs flawlessly making espresso, steaming milk and even makes regular coffee. The hopper to hold the beans is large enough that I only have to fill it once every ten days or so. The espresso tastes magnificent, like a high end coffee shop. Making a latte’s is more involved but still easy. The water resevoir is easily accesible from the front of the unit – something important if you place the machine under a cabinet as I did. Cleaning is equally low effort with the used coffee “pucks” being deposited in a tray in the front which can be slid out and disposed of as you wish. Now for the negative…This coffee maker came with NO INSTRUCTIONS. No quick start guide, no detailed instructions – nada. Phillips wants you to go to their website via QR code to get them. Which is no problem except their QR codes are wrong and lead you instead to 404 code empty pages. OK, no big deal right? Just use the full internet address on the box to access the instructions. Doing so leads you through a myriad of special offers for filters, coffee deals and other Phillips acccesories and extended warranties. All in multiple languages. So, after receiving my much anticipated coffee maker I spent an hour searching for instructions on the features and how to operate it. In the end I gave up. I started pressing buttons and in a day or so I had everything sorted out. Needless to say, however, this was very aggravating to not simply have a quick start guide in the box or written manual. Don’t force me to go to your website and assault me with buying more stuff at least until I start using the thing I just bought. The effect, for me, is that I am reluctant to buy another Phillips product despite the fact that I love this one, simply because I don’t want to waste my time trying to figure out how to use it. Put written instructions in your product packaging people! It’s cheap and easy. Plus sometimes we don’t want to pull out our phones or walk back and forth to a computer. Think about the user experience next time!

Life changing
I always loved drinking darker coffee and preferred espressos/ Americanos. But I am 2 kids deep and just don’t have the patience for an elaborate coffee bar. The 2200 checked all boxes for me: easy to use, easy to maintain, minimal waste, quick and delicious cup of coffee any time every day. This was worth the long term and hefty investment. I already know that it paid itself within 6 weeks for us.Don’t be fooled by all the pictures and review about mold found in the machines. It is 100% user error and 200% user negligence. I like the low daily maintenance of the 2200. But I am invested enough to clean it weekly to ensure I get great coffee throughout the work week. These users reporting mold in their puck bucket and throughout the brewer also most likely don’t clean their air fryer as frequently as they should either. I hope I don’t ever come across any of their potluck dishes in my lifetime.I love this machine. As a working mom, I advocate for the 2200 a thousand times over. I’m excited to spread the good news!

Pays for itself! No trips to get cappachino again
First, the coffee tastes perfect. Frothing is amazing quality. Second, easy to use and set up. Really doesn’t take up too much counter space. Has good capacity for holding used grounds and water. Very pleased with my purchase.

Best part of waking up
I love this machine. Makes great espresso and coffee. Super easy to use and keeps me caffeinated. My guest like it too as it is a pretty neat little coffee maker. It is loud and slow to warm up, but the coffee is fabulous.

Good investment
Way better than a keurig. Every cup of coffee taste like expresso meaning real coffee taste! Easy simple press buttons. I love how it can grind the coffee beans as needed per cup. It’s a great idea for excessive coffee drinker like my husband. 1 bag of coffee bean last 3x longer than traditional paper filter drip coffee machine. You spend more for this price but you get the quality and convenience of a true coffee . Also steamer is definitely great use for non dairy for me. Will get one for senior so they do not run into getting burned or high maintenance.

Quality
This is the third automatic espresso machines I’ve owned and the cheapest by far, that being said this one is the best (the other two were Phillips and Saeco) brews wonderful shots of espresso with rich crema, the “lattego” feature makes frothing so much easier and it pours it into the cup during the brew process.Got mine refurbished for $359 but was new out of the box (can’t figure that one out)Highly pleased with this machine now that it’s “worn in” it’s brewing better than Starbucks.I use Lavazza super crema beans and it’s amazing.

Love this Super Automatic, Excellent Espresso
I was using a Nespresso before this and this thing makes Espresso that is infinitely better with the Lavazza beans that I use. It’s very easy to maintain – I clean the puck catch system weekly, and the brew group and internals every month or two. Despite the price, I’ll be breaking even very fast compared to having to buy Nespresso pods. Got this machine after trying it at a friend’s place. Felt like a no brainer. I set the grind to like 8/10 fine and I’m getting super creamy shots every time. I did run a whole contained of trash beans through it first. I think that’s essential to break it in. Though I rarely use it, the steam wand is pretty awesome too. I personally wouldn’t feel the need to upgrade to a higher end unit, but if money is no object and you want better automation and beverage variety, go for it.

Coffee maker
Use this product every day, so far it’s held up. A little confusing to learn at first but so easy once you figured out to hold the On button or what setting you want. Love the efficiency of making a hot or iced beverage.

Quickly pays for itself- easily better than Starbucks!
Perfect foam, and excellent coffee. Easy to maintain. I’ve owned Saeco machines for 20+ years; this one is smaller and easier to maintain.Wish it had a double cappuccino option! And the espresso shot is on the small side- but just have 2 :). Other than that it’s close to perfect.Measured hot water feature is also great- don’t overlook this for quick hot tea or hot chocolate.

Barista coffee at home, without fuss!
We had this machine over a year and it is still going strong. Makes a great cup of coffee with your favorite beans. It will need to be cleaned and greased every so often but well worth it to me. I love the frother for the milk as well. I would buy this again!
