Love it!
I’ve been using this machine for about a month now but I wanted to use all the features and give it some time before I wrote a review. I was a barista for several years and this is my fourth? at-home espresso machine in a few years, and I LOVE it. I genuinely didn’t know you could make espresso with bright crema on top at home until I got this machine. The texture of my lattes is smoother and creamier, the quality is better, and it’s so easy to use.I’ll start with the cons because I only have a few:•the steaming wand doesn’t move as much as others I’ve used and if I have a full pitcher of milk I either have to life the machine or spill the milk to remove it once it’s steamed. It also occasionally takes a bit of time to get going.. initially it seemed like it was getting slower over time but it seems more sporadic now.•the auto shutoff is way too quick, IMO.PROS:•The water tank and drip tray are both really large and do not have to be refilled or emptied often•very straightforward and easy to use once you figure out your initial preferences•there are several options for grind level, water heat, etc and once you figure out the best one for your coffee it makes really high quality espresso every time•the double shot is larger than most which I really like, but there’s also the single shot option• it’s SO easy and mess-free to grind and tamp the beans•milk frother can get milk really hot, and really smooth•I love the americano option, it makes things so easy• the cold brew is pretty good considering how quickly it can be made

Such an easy espresso machine to work and that is straight forward. Messaged the company for specific questions and they answered in less than 24 hours. I’d take this machine over a breville.

Perfect. Solid. Keeps on keeping on.
I’ve been using this machine for almost 3 years now and it’s been perfect every day. It’s solid and heavy, needs minimal cleaning and is easy to with water and beans. I simply wipe it down with a wet rag after use and it still looks perfect after almost three years. Once a week I’ll take the bottom off and clean the drip pan out and use a brush on the extraction area. While there is a learning curve to make perfect coffee every time using these, a bit of effort will yield the perfect cup every time. The internet is full of “influencers” telling you how to make a cup of perfect espresso, I’m not one of them, I have a real job. So just stick with the basics. Pressure too high?? Grinder towards coarse. Pressure too low? Grinder towards fine. Of course this only works if you keep your tamping pressure the same. I tamp lightly, just enough to flatten the surface. It’s not rocket surgery, you’ll get it.

It’s perfect
My husband and I enjoy coffee so much that we decided to replace our old coffee maker with a more professional one. It’s perfect, quiet, easy to use, and has several preparation options. Our espresso is delicious!

The De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo is a powerhouse when it comes to making espressos. It has consistently extracted the perfect espresso shot and extracts a good amount of flavor. I use medium light roast beans as it is my preferred bean. The espresso always comes out not too acidic, which I like best. The setup was extremely easy due to the 1 button press to flush the machine before use. I also really like how easy it is to clean. The disassembly of the water reservoir and the machine as a whole was super quick. This is a big plus as I buy machines for convenience, not to create more work for myself. One of my all time favorite features of this espresso machine is the pressure gauge and the adjustible brew temperatures. Being able to play around with the temperature and set it to my preferred temperature has been a godsend. I have been able to make my perfect espresso shit just by having this feature. The pressure gauge also lets me monitor the extraction.Another cool feature is the grinder. It has many settings to ensure proper grind size. I can get rid of my stand alone grinder and use one machine instea of two. Another nify feature is the built in steam wand. I still need to work on my latte art and my steam wand skills, but I love how I can learn how to make latte art with this machine as well.Lastly, I wanted to give De’Longhi a shoutout for the many accessories it comes with (including a tamp and even different sized baskets). With all these cool features, I would highly recommend this espresso machine to anyone who loves espressos/coffees/lattes. I haven’t had a bad extraction and it is definitely going to save me a lot of money. I no longer have to go out to a coffee shop. I can just make the perfect coffee in my own home!

Great beginner espresso machine!
I have had my D’Longhi espresso machine for two and a half years and I thought I should come back and write a review. When I bought this machine, I had never pulled a shot of espresso before but I really wanted to learn how to do that and learn latte art. It took me watching a few youtube videos and lots of practice to learn how to make my daily latte! I love this machine though I don’t know many people who choose this brand over Breville. It’s definitely underrated. Out of all of the capabilities of the machine, the grinder dosage knob doesn’t function as it ought to but I measure out my beans to 16 grams and run it through the grinder until it all comes out. It should come out at 18g of grinded beans and it takes two “run throughs” of grinding. (I don’t keep the hopper full of beans all the time like I started out doing). Here are a few other thoughts about this machine.1. If you’ve never pulled a shot of espresso before, it’s going to be difficult learning on any machine, so give it a couple of weeks to feel comfortable. I almost gave up because it seemed like I would never get a good shot. If it’s your first time making espresso… Don’t blame the machine right away.2. My kids who are 5 years old and under are able to use the tea option easily to make me or themselves tea in a jiffy. The amount of water from the tea option is perfect for a standard size mug.3. This machine is easy to clean. I always buy the D’Longhi descaler and descale when the “warning” light comes on. It’s a very simple process to descale.4. I’ve started buying distilled water to fill this machine and other machines around the house (humidifier, etc.) to help elongate the lifespan of the machine due to our hard water.5. I pop the bottom trays in the dishwasher once a week.6. The machine comes with a frother tool that I’ve used a few times. It’s basically a needle that you poke in the end of the frother to clear out built up milk. To clean the frother now, I’ve learned to turn it on with a wet rag all around it and wipe until clean (maybe 10 seconds).7. I like how the machine looks and it has a little storage pocket on top that I keep the cleaning tools and extra single-shot filter in.8. I’ve learned to make all sorts of fun hot and cold drinks with this machine! If you make a coffee that doesn’t taste right, you probably need to adjust the temperature or grind size. It’s part of figuring out how to pull a good shot.
