Excellent grinder! Highly recommend
It is just what I needed! My previous grinder was the type where you hold down the button to grind and just pray/guess/check to see if the grind comes out right. In this one, I put the beans in, select the approx number of cups for the amount of beans I put in, and push the button, and voila! Works perfectly! The grind comes out exactly correct.As for the sound, well, it’s probably best not to do it while someone else is sleeping, but otherwise it is really not at all a big deal. It’s the typical sound of a grinder (one that you haven’t paid a hundred or more for). Considering that even for the max amount of beans, the time of grinding is maybe 20 seconds. Don’t know about you, but for 20 seconds I ain’t spending triple-plus for something quieter. It’s not that bad or important, at least for me!The only possible ‘con’ is that the top part that you turn anti-clockwise to take off to empty the grounds is a bit tricky to do at first. Once you get the hang of it, it’s fine. But the first time is a bit of a struggle. (But don’t give up! It does get better. 😊 )

Great coffee grinder
I had an older version of this grinder for several years before it finally died. This one is even better with some convenient features. You no longer have to hold the button down to grind, you just push it and with the settings you put in place you just push a button and it grinds based on those settings (so now you are free to use both hands to cover your ears, which I recommend – it is loud). Also the new ‘Twist &Clean’ feature is awesome. I typically grind a whole bag of coffee, so I’m grinding numerous small bowls, and I used to have to scrape it out between each one, but with the ‘Twist & Clean’ feature it does it very well. Would definitely buy this again.

This coffee bean grinder is easy to use. It operates in a clean manner, leaving all the ground coffee within the grinding chamber. It doesn’t allow some of the grounds to escape the grinding chamber and cause a mess to the exterior of the grinding chamber and to the countertop. However, when this coffee grinder sometime in the future needs replacement I think I’ll spring for a more expensive model. One with a bean hopper that feeds the beans into a grinder and deposits the ground beans into a lower chamber. Why, you ask? So as not to have to extract the grounds from around the cutting blade and to grind a greater volume of beans. I see that Mr. Coffee makes such a model and I might have enjoyed it even more than the model I did buy.

Highly recommend
This grinder is so easy to use and to take apart to clean. I bought an otter brand of burr grinder a couple of years ago that was recommend by all of the coffee aficionados. It was a lemon and a disaster that I had to return. I have never had trouble with any of my small appliances (and I’ve had dozens over the years) except that one. This Oxo grinder absolutely lives up to up to elections for half the price. I’m so glad I have a burr grinder that works. It is miles ahead of my blade grinder, as promised. Bravo!!

Perfect for a Single Person
I love to grind my coffee beans each morning and I’m the only one drinking it, so this is PERFECT for what I need. It has grind options from coarse to medium to fine with options in-between so I can get the perfect size grind for my espresso or cold brew or pour over! It’s nice to just have to press the button once and not hold onto it so that I don’t over or under grind the beans. I do wish the cord was a bit longer, but it’s not a big deal and I really love having this little guy in my coffee making arsenal!

It’s awesome!
Love this grinder.Like other reviewers – this is extremely loud. Don’t know why, it just is. I wait til birds are away from my front area, so not to freak them out.And, I too, find some ingenuity with the cleaner idea added to this grinder. It just works. Had to chuckle, just twist and coffee grounds are cleaned from sides. Good job!
