Great quality and tasty coffee!
It’s an impressive espresso machine. I got another small one doing the beans thing, but this one is way better. It is very advanced and easy to use. It is fully automatic, so it makes coffee quickly. It has a place for whole beans and also for ground coffee. The TFT display and touch control panel are easy to use. It has an external milk system for lattes, and 9 different drink options. I like the black color. It makes very good coffee. Seems durable and designed well. Easy to clean and has good drip resistance.

Coffee tastes amazing and it will save you money in the long run!
There is a lot to say about this machine. So, the machine itself is amazing. And I am assuming if you spend this kind of money you would understand that there is cleaning of the machine involved to keep it running smoothly. I clean my machine every time after I make coffee. Water collects in the tray and I like it clean. Also you have to understand the machine itself. How it functions. It takes a bit of time to figure out the sizes and what this really means in a cup. Even if it says 10 oz, you have to calculate the froth with it. So, take the time to learn this machine. This is a more sophisticated machine. It is a fully automated coffee machine. Americano, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Red Eye, regular coffee just to name a few. Once you understand what it does, you will absolutely love it. I also recommend using filtered water. It is better for the machine and the coffee tastes a lot better as well. It also includes a water filter.You can use coffee beans, which it grinds to your liking, as well as coffee ground. That was important to me.The display is easy to read and operate, and the coffee tastes amazing.Yes the coffee is hot, but if you do a latte it is drinkable right away and not hot. For me that is a plus.It has a warming plate on the top to keep your cups warm.The machine is build in a way, that cleaning is super easy. Everything is accessible and can be taken apart.When it comes to the milk hose I would recommend using a 1l/32oz glass milk bottle which I purchased on Amazon.Makes life so much easier! If you’re not into making your lattes and cappuccinos step by step with an espresso machine, than this machine is for you. It does all the steps for you and after a minute or so the finished product is in your cup!Personally I like to craft my coffee step by step, but just pushing a button and not having to do it every time, is a winner for me. Especially when you’re busy with work. This is a big ticket item, but it will safe you money in the long run. NO more runs to the local coffee shop and pay a lot for a cup of coffee.Give this one a try! I love it!

The coffee is delicious and I love the automated recipes. Also, I’ve seen reviews that complained about the temperature of the coffee, but I can tell you they must’ve updated it because my coffee is piping hot.

I’ve always wanted a really GOOD espresso machine, I’ve had a few in the past but they’ve always sort of fell short. I know that making it all by hand the old way is the best way, I just don’t have that sort of time. This surprisingly ended up being a better than great alternative for those who demand quality.First off, this is what is considered a super automatic/full automatic espresso machine. Namely due to the fact that your role is vastly reduced from a barista to a simple operator, you have nothing really complicated to do except to feed this beast, ground coffee or coffee beans, whichever you prefer. Give it water, maybe some milk, and press a few choices on the touchscreen.It’s all in the name really, “Bosch TPU40109 500 Series Fully Automatic Espresso Machine with Whole Bean Compartment and Ground Coffee Chute, TFT Display & Touch Control Panel, External Milk System, and 9 Beverage Options, Black”You get Bosch quality, an automatic coffee grinder with a bean reservoir. A ground coffee chute if you don’t want to grind your beans. Touch screen display, a bunch of drink choices, an external milk feature for foam (It’s basically a tube that pops out the side and inserts into your milk container.) It steam cleans itself after use! It has a water filter that can adjust depending on the hardness or softness of your water…, the machine comes apart very easily for cleaning. (This is the Bougiest Espresso machine ever!).Ok it’s expensive, stylish, it’s fairly large (half the size of a microwave), it’s wonderful and will save everyone thousands of dollars over time, and a ton of hassle from not having to drive to some corporate chain or coffee house, convenience store for substandard swill and impatient patrons or staff. It’ll pay for itself in the long run. I would say pick it up if you can, pick it up on sale. I’m happy with it, and it’s earned a place on my countertop.

It’s amazing! We have tested most of the settings and it is easy to use, as long as you don’t just push buttons willy-nilly I am sure it has paid for itself. I have 4 people having 2 cups a day, each. With the amount of coffee we go through, we empty it daily. The pucks of grounds come out nice and compact, easy to dump. We just tested the ground coffee portion- I only wish it was easier to tell what size the scoop is, it doesn’t come with one, and it says 2 scoops max. I put 2 tablespoons in, on the 6.6 oz setting for coffee, my mom says that made a good cup- she’s super picky and likes a strong cup of coffee. My only complaint (only valid if you get the 500 machine) is that it doesn’t tell you if there is ground coffee in it, and will make you a cup of water if you think you are making a cup. (Like if you set it up and someone else uses it)But overall- it is amazing. I love it, and Red Eye is our favorite setting. I would definitely buy it again, and have been recommending it to everyone I talk to!

OUTSTANDING!
I love this machine! I have never had a coffee or espresso maker this impressive. I was very fortunate to receive it through the Amazon Vine program to test and review at no charge. I can tell you that I would never have bought it if it weren’t for this wonderful program. I can definitely tell you that it is an outstanding machine that is designed incredibly well and is working beautifully. I have not been utilizing it for any of the fancier types of drinks as of yet, just espresso, and coffee, but it does those things remarkably well. It has the ability to grind fresh beans, or use pre-ground coffee as it has separate hoppers for both. I have been using whole beans. The grinding feature has the ability to adjust the coarseness of the grind, and the touch panel gives you the ability to adjust the strength of the coffee, and the quantity of the beverage. You can make a very standard cup of coffee, or adjust it for a very strong cup of coffee. You can do the same with the espresso, and you can also do a “red eye”, which is my favorite. What the machine will automatically do for a red eye is brew you a cup of coffee, and then add a shot of espresso right into it. You can set the machine to automatically do a quick flushing of the system when you turn it on, and then it will also do a quick flush at the end when it turns off to make sure that the dispensing nozzles are always in a clean state. This machine is definitely not inexpensive, but it is incredibly impressive to me. If you don’t find the price to be shocking and you want to have all kinds of versatility for the types of coffee drinks you can make, I definitely, definitely would recommend it. The instruction manual is incredibly thorough, and the machine is really very simple to operate. Needless to say, I am giving it five stars.

Simple machine, empty drip often.
I got this for the house, this is awesome, it does everything from grinding the beans to essentially cleaning itself. It comes with a filter, and is very easy to setup. The filter had a lot of instructions just for me to set it in /on with all the default settings. This is super easy to use, I had to clear some kpods out before I had room to put my whole beans in, and yeah dumping coffee into the grinds cup works to make it just fine due to the ground coffee setting. This gets like three cups of coffee done before I need to refill the water, about 6 cups before I need to empty the drip tray, and about 12 before the grinds cup is full. So automatically this is easy to use. The drip tray fills up regardless of usage due to the machine cleaning itself after every usage, this does mean grinds gets in the tray and I can’t drain it in the sink. Overall the coffee that comes out is super hot, perfect in mild setting, I personally drink a cup of the frappe every morning, sometimes two, the milk straw is an awesome feature, as it’s the opposite of the milk steam want machines often use/make. Everything is easy to wash, and you don’t need the milk hose on for most things, in fact hot water has you remove it so steam doesn’t shoot out, but it is used to funnel the coffee out of the machine to avoid spills. The coffee tastes great and I love this machine.

Absolute Game-Changer!
My wife and I both really like espresso coffees, and one of the standing things we have done in our marriage basically since day one is to wind down at the end of the day with a (decaf) coffee and a sit-down to just decompress and talk over the day. We’ve been for ten years going out to get a coffee at local places, but after we moved recently, we found that our options for evening coffee were drastically curtailed. So when I had an opportunity to review this machine, I jumped in with both feet and rather excited whoops from both my wife and myself.We just ran our first test with it tonight (it took us about a week to source decent decaf whole-bean coffee) and oh man! The setup was a bit convoluted, you need to read the manual a couple times to get it all straight, but once we had it set up, it was quite literally as simple as dropping the pickup tube into a jug of cold milk, selecting the drink we wanted (we went with cappuccinos for our first run) and pushing the button. The machine made an variety of mid-volume whirring, grinding, chunking and pumping noises, followed by first milk, then delicious espresso dispensing into the mug! The dispense volume at 9.3oz on the panel was just right for a 10oz mug, and the result was darn good! I wouldn’t put the quality of the drink *quite* as high as the high-end espresso place downtown, but it is significantly better than what we’ve gotten at quite a number of roadside espresso stands. It’s most definitely very serviceable as a darn good drink.Cleanup afterwards is not a big deal. You need to detach and wash the milk dispensing components, which takes perhaps a minute all told, then dump out the expended-coffee drop container inside the front panel where it kicks out the grounds. That’s about it!This is a costly unit at a bit over $1k, but considering that coffees around here run about $4 a piece for a 12oz drink, this would pay for itself in less than a year, even if you only have 4 or 5 drinks a week. It’s certainly going to save us a fair bit of cash, and we’re really looking forward to being able to have our coffee any time we want it, and sit to enjoy it in our own living room! This is definitely a winner, it’s going to stand right next to my high-end rice cooker as my favourite kitchen appliance, I think!

Great espresso machine! Well made and good quality. It can make several types of coffees, even regular. So I don’t even need my regular coffee machine. It’s easy to set up and use. I have another espresso machine that was a little over $100, but I hardly used it because it was hard to use. This Bosch is so much better. I dont know if it’s worth the current price of $1100, as I’ve never used a $500-600 machine to compare it too. It does way more than my $100 espresso machine and I love the touch screen. The touch screen is easy to read and understand. I now enjoy making espresso and it comes out delicious. (Obviously the ingredients matter too). But I enjoy the taste more with the Bosch machine than my cheaper machine because I can adjust the strength. My other machine doesn’t allow me to adjust the strength of my espresso. But the Bosch has several levels of strength and also allows you to adjust the grinding levels (fine to mid to coarse). My old one doesn’t do that. I also love that I don’t have to own a coffee grinder. The machine grinds the beans for you, which is so convenient. I relieved that I don’t have to use a tamper for ground coffee either. My old one was a little sensitive to the tamping. It wouldn’t run if I didn’t tamp hard enough or too hard. It was annoying. So I’m so sorry glad I don’t have to worry about that with this machine. I feel like they thought of everything. I definitely see why it’s expensive.
