I’m giving it a good review
It’s definitely worth the money if you don’t drink a lot of coffee very often. I was definitely an avid coffee drinker before I bought this. I was trying to cut back on coffee and this definitely was worthwhile. It makes a great cup of coffee and small quantities.

Coffee maker
I bought this because I got tired of buying the preprogrammable coffee makers at ridiculous prices. This works really well and it’s quicker at making coffee than programmable ones. You do have to shut coffee maker off when you are done with coffee. So if you can’t remember to shut off this product is not for you.

Inexpensive but nice small coffeemaker!
This review is for the 5-cup Amazon Basics coffee maker with reusable filter, coffee pot, Black and Stainless steel (non-programmable conventional design). I’ve had it now for 10 days, used it several times and am overall quite happy with it. I’m the only coffee-drinker in my house and have 1-2 mugs a day probably 3-4 days a week.Pros:• Size is great for my needs, and it was the cheapest model (usually something I avoid as I find you get what you don’t pay for. Not true in this case!).• No wasteful paper filters (or worse – single-use pods!). Other models I looked at did not include a reusable filter and were more expensive.• Coffee comes out hot and hot plate keeps it hot.Cons:• The cord is short, which can be a pro for some as it won’t clutter up your counter. Because the outlet is to the left of where I keep it and the water level display and the place to fill water is on the right, I have to move it every time I fill it. I’d love it if the cord was a few inches longer.• Even when I fill the water all the way (over what they say is “Max”) the carafe only makes coffee to the 4-cup line (not 5-cup). This is enough for me, but not sure why it doesn’t fill the carafe.

Works as described
I gave four stars because it does its job making coffee. But…I hate pouring the water in the tank because water goes everywhere! I have tried everything and I still clean up a mess. The control buttons respond to light touch and the program function is convenient. For the price, it’s a good purchase.

Perfect for the classroom
I am a high school teacher and my students use this every day, twice and sometimes three times a day, for the last two months. It has worked perfectly every time. Because of the price I am not worried about it breaking down after a school year because I am going to get the same one for next year. I love how it has the auto shut off, because of teacher brain.

WORKS GREAT, EXCELLENT TASTING COFFEE (& lattes), BUT…
This small coffee maker is perfect for its purpose. I’ve usually made my lattes with a manual pour-over filter basket in a French press carafe. I froth the milk by microwaving 1/2 cup -2/3 cup in a large Pyrex measuring cup and using a whisk.(Our Keurig won’t properly brew espresso grind — too fine.) I wanted to try a small drip brewer with a cone-shaped filter basket for extracting the espresso and this works! I don’t use the “reusable” screen filter, as those are a hot mess with espresso grounds. I use a paper filter in the cone-shaped plastic filter basket and this little brewer does get hot enough to work! I use a full scoop of espresso grind and 12oz of water (plus the milk froth) for a perfect 16oz+ latte. And, of course, the machine brews two-12oz cups of regular coffee, as it will take 24-25oz of water. The warming plate works fine. I would give this brewer 5 stars, but as others have said, it is flimsy. It really could use a little more rigidity — it’s very soft thin plastic. I’ll guess mostly recycled plastic. But, again, it works great, fits under your cabinets (Mr Coffee is too tall) and this is easy to clean. We’ll see how long it holds up. Meanwhile, for $20, go for it.

Easy Peezy for less than 20 bucks
This is perfect if you’re just looking for a medium to mix caffeine in, not some fru-fru monstrosity that costs hundreds of dollars and a degree from MIT to figure out. Very simple, very easy, makes a damn fine pot of Death Wish Coffee Company double caffeine dark roast so what more could you need or want. And it’s less than 20 bux. Plus no coffee filters. Also doesn’t take up any counter space. As Nike says, “Just Do it.”

Simple, Affordable, and Exactly What I Needed
I drink coffee every day so a reliable coffee maker is nonnegotiable. I switched from a Keurig to this 5 cup machine to save money and honestly I haven’t looked back. It’s simple, quick, and makes solid coffee without all the extra junk. No more pods, no more waste, just real coffee. It doesn’t take up much space which is great and it’s super easy to clean. The only thing that bugs me a little is the “cup” measurement. A full pot doesn’t quite equal five real cups so keep that in mind if you’re a two mug person like me. Still, for the price and quality it’s a no brainer. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s over the Keurig hype and just wants a good dependable cup of coffee every morning.

Plesantly suprised
Perfect for one person. I am delighted to see you can still buy things that are not computer controlled. No bells, no whistles, just an on and off switch. I am pleasantly surprised how much I like the coffee maker. The permanent filter that comes with it has a solid bottom making it a minor nuisance to clean. I recommend buying filters when you buy this pot.

The Perfect Coffee Pot
I am not one to have a coffee pot that has all of the ‘bells and whistles’ that comes with the pot. I just wanted a 5-cup coffee pot that is operated with one button -the on and off. Turns out this pot has the basic needs that some of the other 5-cup pots I’ve tried and failed miserably. The Amazon coffee pot includes a ‘non-drip’ between servings that actually works, an automatic shut off after 2 hours and keeps coffee hot much longer than other cheaper coffee pots. I doubt there are many looking for a simple coffee pot that performs perfectly but, if so I strongly suggest giving the Amazon 5 Cup Drip Coffee Maker a try.

Simple and a great price!
All I use are drip coffee makers like this one, I’ve had 2 by ‘mr coffee’ and the last one lasted only 1 year! This is my first by Amazon so hopefully it’ll last awhile! This is super easy to use, and I really like the reusable filter! The price was right compared to other fancy machines with foam and ice coffee and all that other garbage that people drink today. I like my coffee black and strong, I don’t need all that foof! My only complaint with this machine is sometimes when you pour the water into the machine the water will run down the side of the carafe and dribble on the counter, but im pretty sure all drip coffee makers have this same issue. There’s no timer, it comes in 2 colors, black or stainless steel, not too big so it fits nice on a counter under the cabinets!

Great little coffee maker but not better than the original
This was very easy to set up. Take out of box, remove packing, plug in. It is very functional since it’s a coffee maker. Coffe stays hot. The pot and filter are easy to clean, rest of coffee maker not so much. Now, I had the original design for my first coffeemaker, and I have noticed a couple things since I received this. One, as someone else had stated, depends on the grind of coffee as to if you receive 3 cups or 5 cups one brewing. The fine or the ground, the less coffee in the pot and debatable if you try and add water to make an additional half pot. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.The coffee pot itself, I’m really not sure what they changed on the design unless it’s on the coffee maker, but I have noticed that depending on how you were holding it, depends on whether or not it poured straight or if it “leaks” from the pour spout.I’m not too sure about the redesign. It’s not as small as previous version, and at least with the old one, if I decided to pour a cup early, it stopped filling the pot. Not now. My fault, I saw it in the description, but I guess it didn’t register.Personally, I love Amazon Basics, but this was more of a miss than a hit. I had the original of this since 2019, and had to replace because the base stopped working; it no longer turned on ( because sometimes I’d forget to turn it off), so maybe I should have bought a new one of the old version.

Good purchase
It’s cute and gets the job done. I did not realize how small it would be but I like it. Great coffee quality and brews pretty fast.
