Final Verdict
The Hamilton Beach Fresh Grind Electric Coffee Grinder is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants an affordable, reliable, and easy-to-use grinder for daily coffee brewing and spice preparation. Its removable, dishwasher-safe bowl and quiet operation set it apart from many competitors in the same price range.
While it lacks adjustable grind settings (it’s a single-speed blade grinder), its simplicity and consistent results make it ideal for casual coffee drinkers and home cooks. For those seeking precise grind control for espresso, a burr grinder would be more suitable, but for everyday use, this is an unbeatable value.
✅ Best For: Budget-conscious coffee lovers, beginners, or anyone wanting a versatile grinder for both coffee and spices.
⚠️ Consider Alternatives If: You need multiple grind settings or burr-grinder precision.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) – Affordable, versatile, and user-friendly.

Best grinder for your money
I had this for over 10 years and it finally had a small piece for the grinding element that broke. Bought this same exact one again. So long as this product is on the market, I intend to own it. Amazing little machine. I use it for spice blends, coffee grinder, and making small batch sauces. Great compact design, easy cleaning. Love this thing.

Affordable, effective, compact and relatively quiet coffee grinder.
I’ve been using this coffee grinder for a few months and am very pleased with it. It is far quieter than my old Krups grinder, and the design is well thought-out. The cord is quite short, but that hasn’t been a problem for me. It is great being able to store the cord and also remove the grinding cup for cleaning. It quickly grinds my coffee to my satisfaction.

Perfect Incredible Coffee Grinder
It is hard to believe that an inexpensive blade coffee grinder could have so many great features. I have had several over the years, so lets go. 1. Very small footprint on the kitchen counter – about the size of a small drinking glass. 2. Super quiet. 3. Very fast – pulverizes coffee beans in a matter of seconds. 4. My favorite attribute – The grinding bowl lifts out, so you do not have to pick up the grinder to empty the ground coffee. 5. Also, the grinder bowl and lid are dishwasher safe – easy to keep clean. 6. You can see how fine of a grind through the transparent lid. 7. The cord storage locks the cord in place for the length – does not unravel like most cord storage appliances. Capacity: Being small, if you fill the bowl with beans, it makes enough ground coffee for 2 large mugs of strong coffee. Our carafe indicates 6, 5oz cups of water. Dumb! Why don’t they mark carafes in 8oz real cups? If you want more, grind a second run. It only takes seconds.

Perfect Gift for Fresh Coffee Every Morning!
I bought this Hamilton Beach coffee grinder for my mom so she could enjoy fresh grounds every morning ☕️. It’s been a hit! The compact size fits perfectly on her countertop, and the removable bowl is super easy to fill and clean — plus it’s dishwasher safe. Mom loves that it grinds enough for a full pot (up to 12 cups!), and the stainless-steel blades work great for both coffee and spices. It’s quiet and gets the job done — a simple, reliable gift that keeps on giving!

It works very well.
It works well for grinding hard rabbit turds to make a liquid tea fertilizer for plants, and dry rabbit turds are extremely hard and completely round. I wasn’t sure it would work for this but it grinds them to a fine consistency. It would work well for coffee beans too.

Easy to use and works well
After three years of use, I’m finally writing a review. This is a very simple coffee grinder. It spins at one speed setting, so if you want a course grind, then don’t grind longer than 15 seconds. The longer you grind, the finer it gets. There are two removable parts: 1) the cap/cup (top), and 2) the cup/blade (bottom). This makes cleaning very easy. Here’s how you use the grinder. 1) Plug in the electrical cord. 2) Fill the cup/blade with coffee beans. 3) Place the cap/cup onto the cup/blade. 4) Press the button for at least 15 seconds. 5) Unplug machine by gripping the plug. 6) Turn machine upside down so the coffee grinds fall into the cap/cup. 7) Remove the machine from the cap/cup. 8) Pour out grinds from cap/cup.I go through these steps because of some of the reviews. Some people say that they make a mess when they remove the cup/blade. I understand why. The cup/blade has fill lines. This implies that the cup/blade is intended to be removed during operations to remove the finished grinds. But no, do not remove the cup/blade with grinds in the cup/blade. Turn the machine upside down so that the grinds fall into the cap/cup. This is because the cap/cup removes easily, and the cup/blade does not remove easily. You will make a mess struggling with the cup/blade while it is full of grinds.Another review said the cord get damaged at the base when unplugging. This is an example of the need for detailed instructions. What is obvious to some is not always so. When you unplug, grip the plug and pull. Do not only hold the machine and yank the cord out of the electrical outlet. You will damage the connection between the cord and the machine. This coffee grinder is very simple, with a good design, well built and reasonably priced. Qualities that you want in any tool.

Good little grinder
Easy to use, load up press the button and there you have ground coffee. Wish the cord was longer than it is, otherwise no problem.

Small but mighty
Was replacing an old one we had that was ruined by someone who immersed it in water when cleaning it. This one was smaller but it works just great! Hubby loved the smaller size. He makes his trail mix with this.

Perfect Little Workhorse for Fresh Ground Flavor Every Time
I’ve been using the Hamilton Beach Fresh Grind Electric Grinder daily for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how much value this compact appliance adds to my kitchen. Whether I’m grinding coffee beans for my morning brew or spices for cooking, this grinder delivers consistent, reliable results every time. What I love: • Quiet Operation: One of the standout features is how surprisingly quiet this grinder is compared to others I’ve owned. I can grind beans early in the morning without waking anyone up—a huge win. • Compact Design: It doesn’t take up much counter space, and the cord wraps around the base for easy storage. It’s also light enough to tuck away in a cabinet when not in use. • Stainless Steel Blades & Chamber: The grinding chamber is made of stainless steel and is super easy to clean. It also doesn’t hold onto smells or residue after grinding strong spices like cardamom or cloves. • Simple One-Touch Control: There’s no learning curve—it’s intuitive and straightforward. Just press down, and you’re grinding. Hold longer for a finer grind. • Versatility: While it’s marketed as a coffee grinder, I’ve used it successfully for seeds, spices, and even small nuts. Great for prepping fresh ingredients in seconds.Overall, this is an incredibly useful little gadget that punches above its weight. It’s affordable, efficient, and performs reliably every day. I highly recommend it to anyone who values fresh-ground flavor and convenience in the kitchen.
