What sets it apart is how accessible its advanced features are. Pros:

  • Impressive value for under $200

  • Easy to use and highly customizable

  • Commercial-grade portafilter

  • Excellent milk frother

  • Sleek, space-saving design

Cons:

  • Steam wand purges water initially (requires purge)

  • Portafilter spouts not detachable (more effort to clean)

  • Heating block system may not maintain precise temp under heavy use

    Amazing budget friendly machine!

I have been enjoying the HIBREW H10A 58mm Espresso Machine, Compact Design with Stainless Steel Portafilter for a few weeks now. This replaces my previous machine that didn’t last a year. After a little bit of homework to include watching some of the espresso gurus reviews, I decided on this machine since it was budget friendly and getting pretty good reviews. The machine is small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space which I appreciate. But this small machine packs a punch. The machine comes with a portafilter with 3 baskets, a single, a double and a pressurized basket. It also comes with a milk pitcher which is a plus. I wanted a budget friendly machine with a 58mm portafilter since I already had all the tools for a 58mm and you get just that with this machine. There are some customizable features on this machine that I haven’t yet played with. I’m still learning how to use the machine, but thankfully I’ve been able to pull some really good shots right off the bat so I haven’t felt the need to make any adjustments. I’m really impressed with the milk steamer because compared to the one I had before, this one is powerful and does a real good job of frothing up the milk just right. Other than the first two times that I steamed up milk, my milk has come out at just the right consistency every time. There is going to be a little bit of learning curve so you just have to be patient. The one and only negative for me is that it sits lower than my other machine which makes it a bit difficult to get the portafilter on and off and just work with the machine in general. But that’s mainly due to my setup since I have recycled a desk area for my coffee bar so the counter is lower. That is easily remedied with purchasing a riser of some sort to have it sit taller so its more comfortable. For most kitchen counters which are counter height, it should be fine.I really have no complaints about this machine. I’ve reached out to customer service and they have been so responsive and so accommodating to help me with some questions I had. I highly recommend trying this machine out. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Everything you need for a great espresso experience

So, I’ve been living with the HiBrew H10A for about a week and a half now. It’s one of those things you buy when you’re tired of paying five bucks for a latte and decide, “I can totally do this at home.” And honestly, so far, it’s been a pretty good call.First impressions? This thing is ready to go right out of the box. It’s not one of those setups that makes you feel like you’re missing half the parts. It came with a nice, solid-looking 58mm double-spout portafilter, a couple of different baskets, a pretty hefty stainless steel tamper, and even a 450ml milk pitcher. The machine itself is surprisingly sleek. It’s got this smooth, polished look that doesn’t scream “cheap plastic.” The water basin is big enough that you aren’t refilling it every single morning, which is a small but important victory when you’re still half-asleep. Plus, there’s a little cup-warming tray on top—my mug’s new favorite spot. The whole “jam-packed with features” thing isn’t just marketing fluff, either. You can tweak the water volume in tiny 5ml increments, and even mess with the brew and steam temperatures. It’s like having a little mad scientist’s lab for your coffee. It heats up crazy fast, too. You flip it on, grab your beans, and by the time you’ve ground them, it’s ready to go. The switch from brewing to steaming is quick, too. No standing around tapping your foot while it sputters and coughs its way up to temp. Now for the real-world stuff. This is where you find out if you’re a barista or just a person who likes coffee. The espresso shots themselves have been pretty consistent, assuming you get your grind and tamp right. But the steam wand… this is where things get interesting. It’s like the steam wand has a little secret. Before it gets down to the business of making perfect, silky microfoam, it likes to spit out a little bit of un-evaporated water, almost like it’s clearing its throat. If you’re not paying attention or you’re a newbie to this whole milk steaming dance, that extra water can kinda dilute your milk and mess up your texturing. It’s not a deal-breaker, just a little quirk you have to learn to work around. A quick purge into a spare cup before you start steaming does the trick.Another thing that’s a bit of a head-scratcher is the portafilter spout. It’s a double-spout, which is great, but the spouts don’t seem to detach. I gave it a good, nervous tug, but no dice. This means cleaning is a little more involved. You can’t just pop off the spouts and rinse them out. You’ll need a good, skinny bottle brush or something similar to make sure you’re getting all the old coffee goo out of there. Not a major flaw, but something to remember if you’re not a fan of deep cleaning. And about all those fancy temperature displays—the machine uses a heating block system, not a traditional boiler. This is a common thing on machines in this price range. While the screen might say a certain temperature, the actual temp coming out of the brew head can fluctuate a little bit. It’s not a huge issue, especially for a daily driver, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re aiming for a super precise, competition-level shot.Bottom line: For someone just getting into the world of espresso, this machine is a solid starting point. It’s got all the tools you need to learn the basics and then some. You can definitely see a real improvement in your technique and workflow speed with a machine like this. It’s probably not an “endgame” machine for a hardcore coffee nerd, but for daily use, I honestly don’t see a reason for anything more. It’s a great little workhorse that feels like it’s punching above its weight. Highly recommend.

I didn’t think making espresso at home could be this effortless—or taste this good.

HiBREW H10A Espresso Machine ReviewI didn’t think making espresso at home could be this effortless—or taste this good. After owning four previous espresso machines, I expected another steep learning curve: dialing in the grind, wasting coffee, messing with settings, and spending days just trying to get it right. But with the HiBREW H10A, none of that happened. From the very first shot, it delivered rich, flavorful espresso with the kind of consistency you’d expect from a much more expensive machine. One of the things I noticed right away was how fast it gets up to temperature. We’re talking seconds, not minutes. That alone changes how you approach your morning routine—no more waiting around.Programming was refreshingly simple. With just a few presses, I was able to adjust:• Single or double shot output• Pre-infusion time• Temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit• Brew temp• Steam tempIt was all extremely intuitive—no manual diving, no frustration. Just straightforward, thoughtful design. The machine itself is elegant and compact, taking up very little counter space while still packing in features you’d expect on larger, pricier models. The pressure gauge and shot timer are excellent additions—they’re not just decorative; they help fine-tune your shots if you’re the kind who likes to experiment (but you honestly don’t need to).The large water reservoir means less refilling, more brewing, and fewer interruptions. And let me say this again—the espresso is phenomenal. Every single time. Some people mention that the drip tray is small, but in my experience it’s a non-issue. I’ve made dozens of espressos and the tray is still practically empty. Then again, I don’t flush or preheat the group head and portafilter into the tray—I let the water go into a cup instead, which also preheats the cup at the same time.To keep the shower screen in the group head perfectly clean of coffee grounds, I place a 58mm paper filter or stainless steel puck screen over the coffee puck before locking in the portafilter. This simple habit keeps the shower screen spotless, eliminates stray grounds, and completely removes the need to run water through the group head just for cleaning. No wasted water, no extra mess.I’ve never been very good at making milk foam on an espresso machine. I always figured it was just me—I didn’t know the technique, or maybe I just didn’t like espresso machine foam. After trying all sorts of higher-end and “exotic” machines and failing to get that rich, velvety texture, I eventually gave up and switched to using a cold milk frothing device. Then I tried steaming milk with the HiBREW H10A. I wasn’t just pleasantly surprised—I was shocked. On my very first attempt, I got tight, creamy, café-style foam. No practice runs, no wasted milk, no frustration. Kudos to HiBREW for getting the foam part right as well—it’s made me enjoy milk-based drinks again. This might just be my last espresso machine—and I say that as someone who has owned five different brands over the years. The HiBREW H10A has completely exceeded my expectations in design, usability, and—most importantly—taste.Highly recommended. If you want an affordable café-quality espresso without the hassle, this is the machine to get.

    A must-have economical espresso machine!

The media could not be loaded.

The HiBREW H10A is a great addition to any coffee lover’s kitchen. The 20-bar pump delivers rich, flavorful espresso, and the stainless steel body feels sturdy and looks sharp. I really enjoy being able to adjust the brew settings to suit different beans and tastes, and the steam wand makes quick, creamy milk froth for lattes or cappuccinos. The commercial 58mm portafilter is a nice touch. There’s a bit of a learning curve with all the customizable options, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to pull a consistently great shot. I just hope this machine stays reliable and keeps performing well for a long time!

Great value, and premium features for a budget machine.

Pretty cool to have PID and pre-infusion at this price point. Took little time to get a hang of the machine. Steam wand is decent but not stellar, though it certainly meets expectations for the price point.Transitioning from pulling a shot to steaming milk takes about 15 sec which is great.Build was solid. Lightweight machine but the stainless finish makes it look really really premium. Happy about this purchase and excited to start my espresso journey.
