Definitely the best coffee grinder on the market!
The KitchenAid burr coffee grinder is definitely on the pricey side, but I feel like it was worth every penny!I’ve been buying ground coffee for almost a decade; I’ve never even considered the benefits of grinding my own coffee. However after I started looking into that whole concept, I decided that it’s the route I wanted to go but now I needed to find a way to actually grind my own coffee beans. After doing a lot of research and comparing all the different coffee grinders out there on the market, I decided that the KitchenAid burr coffee grinder was going to give me the most bang for my buck. And boy was I right! This coffee grinder is extremely well-made, which was very evident when I took it out of the box. I hadn’t even turned it on yet and I could already feel the quality in the many parts it came with. This coffee grinder effortlessly grinds through as many beans as you want, and better yet you can even specify how fine you want the grounds to be, which is super awesome because you can fine-tune your grounds depending on how your coffee is to be brewed. So if you’re like me doing research trying to figure out which coffee grinder is the best one for you, look no further and just buy it now!

Great value for the money
I did a lot of research before buying a grinder. Iโve been using this for a few months now. This KitchenAid grinder performs perfectly. Very easy to learn and use. Once you get it set for your normal daily grind, you just hit the button and in under a minute you have perfectly ground coffee. It runs quietly and produces consistently ground coffee. The grounds are contained in the catch jar without any mess whatsoever. Just dump them into your coffee maker and youโre ready to brew. You can pay more or less for other grinders, this hits the sweet spot for great value for the money. I highly recommend it.

Quality coffee grinder!
If you like to grind your own coffee and customize it how you like then you wonโt be disappointed with this one! Easy to use and like how you can save your different settings. I would consider this grinder to be fairly quiet while grinding but does make a little noise. You can grind quite a bit of coffee with the capacity it can hold. Clean up is fairly easy when youโre done.

Great prices! Easy to clean depending on your desired level…
I bought this to replace my cheap blade grinder to see if I could get better quality ground coffee. I didn’t like buying ground coffee and losing out on the freshness factor. Also grinding coffee at the store always felt subject to getting mixed grounds as everyone was using it, and I had no idea when or if the store even cleaned out their grinder. Everyone said burr grinders were better than blade and I would agree now that I have one. The consistency of the ground is much better than a blade grinder. Having the hopper on top(while exposed to light and air)gives up on storing your coffee in airtight containers and out of light but since I make coffee every morning, its a small sacrifice I am willing to make. Others can still do this and then just measure out what you need in beans too, so you have options. Even though I am using the hopper I can still measure out my 32 grams of coffee based on programmable grind time. Different coffees require different grind times and being able to program a set grind time is great. Finding the adjustable dial in the middle of the grinder took a moment as it is not labeled well, but once discovered, made finding my consistent grind times easy. The container that holds the grinds is amply sized as well but the grinder’s vertical build keeps the footprint on the counter small which is also great. The maker also says the container is designed to minimise the coffee grounds sticking to the container and I have found this to be true but only 99% which is better than my old blade grinder. Others have reported this feature to not really be the case, but what I have found is just wiping the small amount of excess grounds out of the container when done and then putting it back has maintained the (anti-static coating?) containers ability to not hold onto the grounds. Other users may have washed their container with soap and water which may have removed any ability for grounds to not stick to the container but I have no way of proving this and I don’t intend to use soap and water on mine. I started with just paper towels, but I have since moved on to using a cloth I got from the eye doctor for my glasses. I just wipe down the inside of the container, shake out the cloth, and put it back in a plastic baggy. After weeks of use, my grounds still slide right out of the container and into my french press. As for cleaning, This is machine is very easy to take apart, the grinder comes right out, easy to wash and dry and put back in. But you will notice after taking it out, that excess coffee grounds have built up a little. The included brush is good for getting some of it out, but not great. This goes back to my store grinder comment, is the store really cleaning out their grinders? Probably not. This is where YMMV. I have taken to using the provided brush and a can of compressed air to get the excess grounds out. You of course have to do this over your sink carefully or outside which requires unplugging the machine unless you want to get coffee grounds everywhere. I do this about every two weeks once I run out of beans. Do you have to do this? No. Some may just remove the grinder, wash it, brush the excess grinds out and then call it a day. Again it’s up to you, but again you have options so YMMV as I said. Overall, for the price versus other burr grinders I have seen, this one is well worth the purchase.

Best I’ve Used.
Love this coffee grinder. It’s quiet. Infinitely adjustable for quantity and degree of coarse/fine grounds. No static, so the catch-bin and countertop stay clean. Produces excellent, consistent results with less fuss and mess than any grinder I’ve used. Wish I would have just spent the extra for this one the first time. would’ve saved a lot of money trying out cheaper ones that disappointed. I haven’t had to clean it yet, so that remains to be seen. I just hope it lasts a long time.

User review
I have had this now for almost four months. I spent an insane amount of time researching coffee grinders to replace one that loved the brand but the grinder was simply not performing. Price was not the deciding factor when doing my research.FunctionalityMulti-grind capabilities-I grinder daily for various types of coffee, chemix, slow brew coffee machine, iced coffee and expressoCleaning-easy no inaccessible nooks and cranniesNoise level when grinding-hands down the quietest grinder I have ever boughtCoffee Bean holder-perfect size, not too much that the beans lose their performance. Holds 2 1/4 cups if beans comfortably. Bonus it has an air tight thin but sturdy lid.Asthetics – it sits on my coffee coffee-pleasing to look at not too big and great color optionsCustomer Service reviews-although hoping I would not need to test this but if needed, wanted to know what others were experiencing.- I have not had to use customer service, unable to provide feedback on this.Sturdiness-collection container, device balance-does not shake or rockCollection container size- this is important if you are a grinder as you use, I didn’t want to do multiple grinds if making coffee for a group of people. – The size is perfect for my daily usage and group usage and it does have an air tight lid if you have leftover grinds.I was prepared and ready to spend hundreds of dollars on a grinder, for me having really good coffee is important. I decided to try this one and it has performed better then I expected so far.Grinding time was noted in other reviews as long, my experience has been I purposely set the grind time to long, not to heat the beans on average based on my preferences it takes less than sixty seconds to grind, if you want faster you could set it to grind faster. One of the best features is it does not create static grinds. If you have a grinder you know what I am taking about, this is a game changer for me. I replaced a grinder that was not broken and made by a well known reputable company but the static was wasteful and very messy, I simply could not get past it, always cleaning away grinds. The bur does not create residual grinds another bonus.I use this grinder for multiple types of coffee including expresso which has been scrumptious. I would say if you are someone who loves expresso it is as important to use really good quality expresso beans as well as the grind. There were reviews when I was looking that seemed to not meet their expresso expectations, I would say if your primary reason for purchasing is to make expresso, maybe consider an expresso only grinder. It has only been three in a half months of very consistent usage but so far it has exceeded my performance expectations. I will follow up at 6 and 12 months.

What a great grinder! We’re thrilled.
We’ve been using our KitchenAid Burr Grinder for a month now and we’re thrilled with it. When our old grinder stopped grinding consistently after four years we decided to grit our teeth and spend more. We did our research and KitchenAid products have been good for us, so we snag this one. We congratulate ourselves on our choice every time we grind our coffee. (Actually, we can’t wait to use it!) Quiet! Whodda thought? The settings are easy to use, the grind beautiful and consistent, the motor doesn’t overheat. I can walk away without holding my hand around the grinder to keep a spray of coffee grounds from escaping. Not one grain escapes the KitchenAid container during grinding. The settings are easy to use, the hopper holds a large amount if you like to grind for a few days. Or you can put your espresso portafilter in a special holder and grind the amount needed for perfect espresso. The LED light goes off after a while (yeah!) There was much more mess to clean up with our previous grinders ($80 range.) We thought it was the beans we were buying – nope, it was the grinder. Well worth the extra upgrade. Love the red.

Love this! Quiet, consistent, good coffee, and looks nice!
I watched a bunch of grinder reviews before buying this. Most of them don’t include this product, as it’s lesser known and doesn’t seem to be considered a serious contender among coffee aficionados. Common wisdom seems to be to go with the Baratza Encore at this price point, or maybe something from Breville, Felllow, or Varia. I’m glad I didn’t.The big appeals for me here were looks, quiet operation, and automatic dosing. It’s pretty quiet, quiet enough that it doesn’t seem to bother my cat sleeping nearby in the morning. You can dial in a specific dose via grind time, and it will save it and gets it consistent enough that I don’t have to weigh beans anymore, I just press the button and use it, and it’s one in about 9 seconds. Plus, it looks pretty nice and has a small counter footprint.Visually, the grind quality appears to be a bit more consistent than my $60 Timemore hand grinder is, and it’s FAR faster. The only real downside I can recall people mentioning was grind quality, but to me the grind quality is great, and even if a Baratza gives a more consistent particle size, ask yourself: are you really going to be able to tell the difference in coffee flavor between two different electrical conical burr grinders? Honestly? In a blind test, you think you could tell? Maybe so, but I certainly can’t. This is a great pick.

Great Coffee Grinder – and no static electricity
I can’t believe I waited so long to get a conical burr grinder. With multiple adjustments, not only does this provide a consistent grind, but there is no static electricity at all, and even after nine months of daily use, every single coffee ground pours right out of the recepticle after grinding. It is also very quiet, which I appreciate first thing in the morning. I use a French Press to make a single 18 oz cup of coffee each morning, so my selection is a 12-2-18, which is a larger grind size (12), 2 cups (although I just use one large cup), and I grind it for 18 seconds, which is longer than necessary but it ensures that I don’t have any grounds left in the burrs for my next cup. I absolutely love this grinder.

Consistent grind
The grind consistency is excellent.I picked this grinder because of the straight down coffee grinds path. This prevents clogs and keeps fines from escaping to make a mess. The grinder seems to have the static electricity issue under control. Itโs quiet and does not vibrate. It is an ideal grinder for Pour Over and my first cup of Columbian was excellent.
