Well… what else can I say than this is a fantastic product! much cheaper than the same grinder found by other sellers. The product arrived to me in three days, and after a couple of failed trial runs dialling in and it being too fine for the water to penetrate through, I managed to pull a near perfect shot of espresso! I am using the sage bambino plus and, of course, freshly roasted beans (1 week old). The grinder is well built and feels premium! I am new to the espresso game, but I can wholeheartedly say this purchase was well worth it.

The grinder is of very high build quality and grinds extremely smoothly (if not the fastest), which deserve a strong 4 stars. However, it has a massive problem with static and retention when grinding espresso size. Even with 4 sprays of water, i have grounds sticking everywhere and need to use a blower to clean the burrs every time. The coating of the catch cup is also not as non-stick as it needs to be, i have to bang and shake the catch cup a lot to get all the grounds out after grinding, especially when using the steel filter plate at the bottom it gets all super sticky and that filter also gets clogged up really quick. Overall: if you use it for anything but espresso it’s an amazing hand grinder. For espresso it can be extremely frustrating. Maybe dlc burrs would help with this issue.

The build quality is very good, nothing to complain here. The real advantage over my previous grinder is the external dial. It’s very well readable and easy to adjust. The indexing and count (12 indexes and 5 steps in between) seems a bit arbitrary, but i can work with that. Speed is actually pretty good, despite having read opinions about it being on the slow side. Maybe it’ll decline a bit. Depends on the hardness and the overall quality of the burrs of course. That remains to be seen. The internal sieve is an interesting feature, but i’m probably not nerdy enough to spot any difference in the taste profiles. Although even with properly sifting the grounds, by emptying the cup, some of the siftings probably will land back in the brewer anyway. The only issue is static – i fully agree with all those opinions. Be prepared for some “sticky” coffee grounds and some dry mess. The grinder has to be knocked properly before opening! All in all well worth the money though.

Absolutely phenomenal manual grinder at this price point. From the moment you pick it up, it just feels like quality – everything is metal and precision engineered, and it weighs a hefty 750g. With a 16 micron step adjustment, it’s super easy to dial in espresso, and it’s super efficient – 18g in 40 seconds is rapid, with only 0.1g retention. The static mentioned in other reviews is minor – a single tap is enough to release all but the finest grounds from the catch cup. All in all, brilliant product, and only 2 days for delivery.
