    Makes delicious coffee drinks

I bought this for my wife for a Christmas/birthday present as she’s wanted an espresso maker for a long time. Since we can’t afford many of the espresso makers on the market I settled on this unit. My wife said it was one of the best gifts I’ve ever given her, with a little practice we can make coffee drinks every bit as good as a coffee shop.Pros;1. This one unit can replace your drip coffee maker, milk frother, k-cup maker and espresso machine. Of course it can do only one function at a time so if you’re in a hurry you can’t, say, brew espresso and froth milk at the same time.2. It makes very good drip coffee (my favorite) but is limited to a 10 cup (I usually had a 12 cup glass) insulated carafe.3. The insulated carafe prevents coffee just sitting on a burner resulting in getting a burnt taste. I’ve come back several hours later to still hot coffee in the carafe.4. It makes very good espresso with the proper beans.5. K-cups taste how you would expect them and are brewed quickly.Cons;1. The unit is a little noisy when brewing, I would equate it to sizzling bacon in a frying pan related decibels. Not a wake the sleeping children loud but louder then a regular drip coffee maker, due to an actual pump to force the water through instead of relying on convection.2. The milk frother is not silent and might wake children if they’re in the same room so take that into consideration. It’s not overly loud, just somewhat shrill because it’s steam hissing out. I would equate it with you whistling to get someone’s attention that’s already near you. Yes it’s not quiet but if no one is sleeping in the same room they probably won’t hear it.3. To make a k-cup drink it’s a tad slower since there is an extra step to change out the k-cup pod.4. No clock or timer. If you are used to waking up to coffee already brewed you will need to plan on pressing the brew button 5 minutes before you want the coffee. To me it wasn’t a big deal, I incorporate it into my daily ritual.5. No built in grinder for which I consider fresh ground beans essential to good coffee. If you already have a grinder this is a non-issue.Overall I am glad I purchased this machine as I can save quite a bit of money and have more control by making my own drinks. It also opened my eyes to how much sugar coffee shops put in their drinks when I’m trying to match the flavor profile! I would definitely pair this with a bean grinder to get the full coffee flavor.

Great machine, the “0” error is very easy to fix

Update: We’ve had this coffee maker for about two months now and I’m happy to report that it’s been problem free. We make espresso quite regularly and it comes out perfect every time. I also make occasional coffee and tea pods. I did just today accidentally let it run out of water which of course gives the “0” error to indicate it’s empty. Just like when it was new it was stubborn to prime again. Again I reseated the tank a few times then cycled to steam and back a few times and it primed right up and is working just fine again.———————Alright, if you’re reading these reviews you’ll notice either 5 stars or 1 star and that’s all because of the infamous “0” error. Let me tell you, this error is very easy to fix and once you do it rarely comes back. So you go to brew a pot, run a clean cycle, make some espresso, etc and it starts flashing 0 and stops brewing. What’s happening here is that it’s not pumping water properly. There are two reasons this could be happening. The first is when the machine is new it needs to be primed. The way you prime the machine is simply lifting the tank off and reseating it a number of times. I found that doing this while it was in a cleaning cycle would cause the water to prime the quickest. Once primed it brewed just fine. The second reason relates to brewing espresso. If you grind your espresso really fine and pack it in really hard it won’t be able to push the water through and it’ll throw a 0 error. If you notice it’s trickling very slowly then stops, that’s likely the culprit. When I ground my first batch of espresso at the store I used the finer of the two espresso settings (closer to turkish grind), I probably should have went with the slightly coarser grind. I scraped that out and refilled it and tamped it a bit lighter and it brewed just fine. It’s made espresso perfectly every time since. The reason for the priming issues relates to the valve on the bottom of the tank that opens when it is seated on the machine. When the tank is seated it basically opens that valve and lets water flow in, when it’s new it doesn’t open very well. If the machine is primed with water all the way to the tank the suction basically forces water out of the tank. They could have used a weaker valve on the tank to prevent this but it would likely mean water would leak out more when removing the tank. So I’m happy they went with what they did.Otherwise I’ve been making espresso daily, steaming lattes, making k-cup coffee and tea with zero (no pun intended) issues so far.

AMAZING! I now can Make my own coffee punch cards

I absolutely LOVE this coffee/espresso maker. It has everything I needed and the K-cups option I never wanted. Since it came with the regular espresso attachment, I just ignore that extra K-cup attachment. No problem filling the water before I use it every time or just twisting it a little to look behind it. You don’t have to pull the water reservoir all the way up for it to detach. Halfway up you can easily slide it your way.The only problem I see is that the thermal Carafe has an edge or lip inside it that makes it difficult to pour the entire contents out. There is always a teaspoon of water left and it takes longer to dry out or get that laaaaast little bit of coffee out. This carafe keeps coffee warm for hours though and it’s very nice. The bottom never gets hot.I don’t have to plan a stop to the coffee shop anymore and remember my punch card. I make my own red eye and the to go cup fits perfectly under it. I do love the flip down stand for a shot glass though. I use it with a tea cup and its excellent for a quick shot. I highly recommend Lavazza espresso beans and an OXO grinder for $99. It is so easy to use and you earn your money back in not having to purchase from expensive hipster coffee stores. I am not a coffee snob however, I still use Chock Full-O-Nuts for regular coffee. Is that bad? If so then I don’t want to be good.

    I love this thing

I’ve gone through so many coffee makers, I can’t believe I hadn’t found this one sooner. I usually use a small stovetop espresso maker for myself, but then had to buy multiple brewing machines – something a little larger for when I have another guest staying with me, and something even larger for when I have multiple guests over. I didn’t like storing all the different types of coffee makers, and wanted something that could brew coffee for a large group of people and easily make espresso for one or two people. This machine fit the bill! It also steams/foams milk for lattes, so I was able to get rid of my separate milk steamer. Like many reviewers mention, it can be loud, but I don’t think it’s bad at all. I have a small house and had my parents over recently (light sleepers) and they didn’t even hear me make coffee in the morning.

Great coffee maker ,as long as you dont need a timer…love it !

Love everything about it.single cup, pick your ounces after putting on the K-cup attachment.pot of coffee ? Yep,4,6,8 or 10 cup pot.it comes with a 10 cup stainless steal thermal pot,but if all you drink is 6 cups of coffee, just hit 6 cups,no reason to make more than you need.prefer coffee shots ?it does single or double shot of coffee.hot water for hot tea or coco, done.want capachino or latte ? Hot water frother out the front right, works perfect, steaming milk or milk based flovored coffee, capachino or latte’s.you can even add your sugar to the milk before steaming, have hot milk & hot melted sugar to add to your hot coffee…and if you like just a cup or pot of plain black coffee ,it does that too.it is kinda loud, sounds like low level aberiganes pipes.but it is from the high presure pump, like the ones you hear at the coffee shops, making caps or latte’s,just slightly lower/quieter pitch.Regular coffee maker it isnt. But so much more.Had my machine 5 1/2 months now,i use it litterally every day, sometimes multible times a day.My favorite:10 cup pot of starbucks cinnomon coffee, with my milk, sugar and Ameretto….tired of hot coffee with cold milk or cold flavoring ?make ur pot, heat milk(in my case ,it would be Ameretto)in the steamer, perfect hot cup of coffee, not luke warm, from cold milk.๐Ÿ˜

Best purchase that I have made in a long time

Our previous coffee maker was starting to have issues a few months ago so I did some checking and found this machine. I saw this all in one machine and I really liked the idea of being able to brew a k-cup, pot of coffee, and make espresso. I researched machines for a couple of months before eventually deciding to go with this one because it had all of the features that I wanted. I was a little hesitant to purchase it because it didn’t have the best reviews but I am so glad that I did.We have had it for a couple of months now and use it daily so I wanted to address some of the “issues” that people have mentioned they had with the machine.1. I noticed that a lot of people complain about the noise. Yes, it is very loud, but so are professional espresso machines and our kitchen is at the opposite end of the house away from our bedroom so that doesn’t really bother us.2. No, it is not programmable. If that is something you use then you may not want to buy it but I don’t think that I have ever used the program feature on a coffee maker in my life so I don’t really care about that.3. If you are getting a 0 and your machine is not brewing, switch it back over to the standby mode and give it a few minutes before switching back to brew. I noticed that the standby mode acts like a reset function for the machine and releases pressure. I have only had the 0 error once and putting it in standby mode fixed it in a couple of minutes.4. If you are using a reusable k-cup pod then the k-cup attachment will leak. It isn’t a big issue because the drip tray does catch the drips but the reusable pod does cause the attachment to leak because it doesn’t fit very well inside the attachment. I don’t think that this is a design flaw in the attachment. I think that the k-cup attachment would work better with an actual singe-use k-cup or a reusable pod made by the company.Overall, I’m very happy with this machine and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. This makes the best espresso and the only problem that I have with this machine is that my caffeine consumption has increased considerably since I bought it.

    Great coffee maker

I gave this a 5 star because itโ€™s a great product and does everything I want. People complain about the zero coming up and leaking. I donโ€™t think it leaks because there is a drip tray and it will fill up quickly and people donโ€™t dump the water out then it starts to overflow. Getting it set up can be a pain because you have to get the water started and once you do itโ€™s great. To keep it from doing a zero, all you have to do it shut it off and turn it back on and run it according to the directions. Iโ€™ve had it zero out several times and have fiddled with it and now have figured out how not to do that. Keep the water filled, donโ€™t let it run dry. Just read the directions and youโ€™ll do fine, but it has a learning curved.

Mr Coffee Espresso/Coffee Machine works great

I have had this coffee pot for over 4 years now. It works great. Yes it is really loud. Love that it can do coffee and espresso. Cheaper than going to a coffee shop. The liquid does take a long time to come out when doing a k cup but the coffee still stays very hot.

Buy this now if you are looking for an all-in-one machine!

I bought this replacement to compare against the Delonghi I bought a few weeks ago. I thought the Delonghi wasnโ€™t working right and this machine proved it to me. This machine is wonderful! The fact that it can steam the milk before brewing the espresso is a game changer for me. The steaming function will keep going as long as there is water in the machine to get your milk hot and frothy. The simplicity of this machine is worth every penny to be able to do so many functions (pot of coffee, k-cup, espresso, latte, cappuccino). The insulated pot is great. I love not having to worry so much about a glass pot breaking and being fragile. Some reviews talked about the cheap plastic parts but I think thatโ€™s great because they are easily replaced if needed (highly doubt this though). The machine knows quickly if you are brewing a pot of coffee or if you are making espresso. It senses what parts you have attached to the machine to know what function to perform. My machine hasnโ€™t had any issues knowing when to switch over from coffee to espresso and back again and I have tested it multiple times. The machine is loud but itโ€™s worth it because itโ€™s working hard getting my refrigerated milk hot and frothy. I donโ€™t know why it was so time consuming finding this product on the market because it is awesome! There is a reason why Mr. Coffee is the OG.
