YOU NEED THIS GRINDER IF YOU HATE USING A MORTAR AND PESTLE FOR BULK SPICES

I like to buy my spices in bulk, roast ’em, and then grind everything using a mortar and pestle. I read that using a mortar and pestle is better because it doesn’t incinerate the spices to tiny little atoms. Also, mortar and pestle grounded spices supposedly tastes better? I guess it’s because if any blood, sweat, and tears were involved, it automatically tastes better.ANYHOW, I, too, thought I was too good for using an electronic grinder… Until I decided that making little spice jar sets was a “great idea” for Christmas presents for my friends and family. After grinding 1 batch of spices (enough for 2 jars), I realized I was wayyy over my head. Grinding all the spices by mortar and pestle would’ve taken me at least 6 hours for only 12 jars (I needed 40) and my arms would’ve fallen off by hour 3.That’s when I decided enough was enough and I bought this magical spice grinder on a whim. THIS THING IS AMAZING. It literally finishes grinding the spices to the exact consistency that I want it within 8 seconds, saving me time and my arms.I love how easy it is to use and clean. I don’t wash or rinse it since I’ve read somewhere that water can destroy electric clippers and I felt that the same logic could be applied here. Instead of washing or rinsing it, I use an old, large, fluffy makeup brush I don’t use anymore to brush away the remaining spices in the cup and around the blade. The lid/cup/cap thing does need to washed with soap and water though because the spices can stick onto the lid.Since I use a makeup brush to clean the blade, I use a thick rubber band to keep the brush and the grinder together so that I have both whenever I need to use it. (Just wrap the band around the grinder and stick the brush inside of the band)Other than that, I highly recommend this grinder if you’re a spicy person and love making your own bulk spice mixes.

Best blender!! By my thoughts anyway!

This blender is fantastic!!! I am super picky on everything I order and I needed a blender that could blend my medication so I can put it into a capsule (my meds are disgusting tasting and I am tired of gagging or throwing them up, sorry tmi). After scouring amazon for a blender that actually works and seeing how much they spill finely ground dust I stumbled on this one. I don’t know why this was not in the coffee grinders search but, I saw this in the others have bought category. Iwhen I got it it worked perfect! Ground everything to a fine powder and the powder did not fly out everywhere. Manufactured very well. The only downside is you can’t take the cup to clean which for me is not a big deal or a brush, again not a big deal. I highly recomend this one!

    Snazzy Grinder !

This grinder is very powerful, durable, and very efficient. Thank goodness, after reading the booklet figured out how to pulse without shorting or overheating this little grinder. This little machine packs a punch…if it was bigger I’d be charged with operating heavy machinery and it would have exploded. At ease my dear fellow neighbors this handy device will go a long way. My method short one second burst or two, rest two to 5 minutes and resume. The reason I do that is because had a 1/2 pound of black seeds and khorasan berries. Yes. I completed the former in one day and am proud to say so !

Lasted 1.5 yrs of rough use & worked great till I k¡lled it

So I loved this grinder. Previous I’d gotten a grinder almost twice as expensive that looked cool but drove me crazy. It had a cup you had to remove that was sharp and it was loud and didn’t grind well. So when I got this grinder I was very happy with it. It doesn’t look like much but it’s a relatively quiet grinder that will turn your beans to dust in less then 30secs. I like a super fine grind for my pour over coffee and I hate spending a ton of time grinding my beans. So I was very pleased with this purchase. There are a couple of cons: first the cord. It twists up and there’s nowhere to put it so you just have to deal with the spiraling of the cord. Every so often I’d try and untwist it with mediocre results. The 2nd con and prob what led to this grinder death, it’s kinda a btch to get the finely ground coffee out of the cup. If you use your fingers you get coffee grinds all up in your nails and it’s super hard to get out. If you like a coarser grind it shouldn’t be an issue. So bc I’m impatient and not wanting coffe grinds stuck under my nails all day, I’d bang on it when I was dumping it to try and get the coffee out. I now know there are little brushes you can get for that (but knowing me I’ll totally loose it). This just seems to be one of the overall cons for this type of grinder. There are pros and cons to the ones with removable cups too. One they’re pricer and I’ve had a couple that just didn’t seem to be as powerful. The upside of this grinder is the price, the speed and power. If they could make a retractable cord or a thing on the bottom where you could wrap extra cord up, it would make this grinder even better. I was actually going to reorder this grinder bc like I said the flaws are just the crap you deal with at this price point and this type of grinder; But I need a grinder ASAP and this one won’t come for a few days so I ordered a similar one with one same day shipping. I actually recommend this grinder, just watch the twisting cord and get one of those brushes if you do a fine grind. I think if you don’t smack it the way I did it’ll last a lot longer. Also the steel blades seem just as sharp as when I got them so def props for that.Edit: so I bought a different grinder bc I needed it ASAP bc I can’t live without my am and afternoon coffee. While I like the looks and weight of the new grinder (I bought it bc it had same day shipping, not for looks) I’m even more impressed with Mueller grinder after using it. It takes twice as long and is messier. I will def be re-ordering the Mueller grinder again bc I miss it already. I’ll have to wait a couple of weeks bc I’m broke, but I will def be Re-ordering. I’ll also try and be more careful with it. No banging in on the counter and smacking the side to get the coffee out. Since the other grinder came with one of those brush thingies, I’ll do my best not to loose it and use it with my Mueller grinder. It’s amazing how this relatively cheap, light weight grinder has beat out every other grinder I’ve tried in the last five years. It’s def the power and speed. Watching the new grinder grind I could see how much slower the blades rotate. It takes twice as long and while grinding I have to tap the grinder to get the bigger pieces to mix with the finer pieces in order to get a uniform final grind. So I def rec the Murller grinder!

Very quiet and a uniform grind

First, the good. This is a very quiet grinder, the most quiet I have heard. This is a very fast/efficient grinder and produces a nice, uniform grind. I especially like the see-through top, which takes a lot of the guess work out of the process. I love the side button for grinding and it feels like it is well made. The instructions say 7 seconds for a coffee bean grind for percolators, and I have found that to be accurate. In my previous and similar style grinders, I would grind, shake, and grind some more, but I found that in this one, just a steady seven seconds or so and the grind is perfectly uniform. However, the first few times I used it, it had static cling coffee dust that made a mess. Then I remembered a trick from using a burr grinder years ago – add a couple of drops of water before grinding, and the problem was solved – completely. That should be in the instruction manual. Okay, so far, so good. The negatives are minor. First, too short of a cord in my opinion. Also, the cord interferes with it sitting flat unless you hook it in the little notch at the bottom EACH time you move it. The great see-through lid has to be clicked into place before it will operate, which is fine, but it feels like a delicate connection that makes me worry it will break. I can live with those two dings because of how well and how quiet it grinds.
