For under $200, this is a great machine!
I never write reviews, but if you’re like me, you’re going to research new coffee machines like it’s your second job… hah. So here I am, about a month into owning the 10 cup model with an honest review. I LOVE IT. Between me and my husband, we use it 2-3x a day and have nothing but praise for it. We are not coffee snobs by any means, but we wanted to get away from kcups/nespresso pods (due to the waste) and after using a Keurig for many years, decided to make the switch to this very popular machine. I didn’t have too many requirements other than something programmable and the ability to brew different amounts.I’ll start with the things I love about it:1. Easy setup + use. After everything was washed and I ran a clean cycle, the machine was ready for use. To brew coffee, you select the size then choose if you want “classic” or “rich”. Once you select, it starts blinking and then will begin to brew shortly after. Brew times are fairly quick, no complaints there. A full carafe (on the classic setting) brews in roughly 8 minutes. The delay brew option is easy to use as well. I usually set up the machine at night for my husband so he has coffee waiting for him at 5:30a when he gets up for work. The machine brews in a few minutes and is fairly quiet — it does beep several times once done, but does not disturb me or our young toddler. I don’t find it loud or disruptive.2. Features. Honestly, this machine is well equipped for under $200. Several options for brew sizes, the classic vs rich, option to brew a specialty 4oz cup (not espresso since it doesn’t get hot enough, but I’m not picky and it works for a quick at home option), brew over ice, and of course the built in frother. It would be nice if the frother warmed the milk too, but I just pop it into the microwave to heat prior to frothing. Froths nicely! I also really love the included measuring scoop. It attaches to the machine for convenience. I follow the guides for number of scoops and use it every time I need to measure the grounds.3. The aesthetic look of the machine and feel of quality. It looks nice on my kitchen counter and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Plus it’s nice the frother folds in to make it even more compact. The included glass carafe feels good and doesn’t feel cheap or too thin. Overall I feel the quality of the machine is nice for the price.I read a lot of the complaints, which I’ve had zero issues with. There is no plastic taste/smell anywhere on the machine. I did thoroughly wash each piece and ran a clean cycle prior to use, but I didn’t even notice a smell when I unpacked the machine. Coffee is plenty hot and there is even a “stay warm” feature you can choose after brewing your coffee (it does automatically come on after brewing a half/full carafe), but sometimes I will use the multi serve option and brew it into the included carafe then turn on the stay warm feature if it’s going to take me more than a bit to drink the 2 cups I usually get from it. I have never once had any grounds in my coffee after brewing. You can use the included filter or brew using #4 cone filters.I really love this machine and do not miss my Keurig at all. Of course time will tell if it stands up to daily use, but as of now I’m thrilled with this purchase and hope to have it for several years. Hope this review helps someone! Enjoy ☕️

The Cadillac of all coffee machines!
I wanted a coffee pot that gave me different brew style options, as well as kept coffee warm and had a large canister to give a large household more than one cup of coffeeWhy did you pick this product vs others?:I love coffee pots and when I’m at other people‘s houses, I do take a look at them or if I’m in a store I look them over. I wanted something that met the needs of my family with a great taste, but didn’t take up tons of room.

Amazing coffee maker well worth the price
This coffee maker is amazing! I love the brewing options, easy of using the machine and overall functionality. It takes up very little space and is hser friendly. The taste of the coffee is great. My previous coffee maker the fancy programmable keurig duo. I love this one so much more!! The programming and design is far better in this machine.

Pour over no more!
The “specialty” button on this model makes a better cup of coffee than my pour over method, not exaggerating, which I’ve done for years. Read on for tips.I first bought the Ninja model without the “specialty” button at the store- and then got on amazon and realized that the store didnt even have this model. So I returned that and ordered this. While the specialty option does not taste just like an espresso, that’s fine with me because the flavor is fantastic (Gevalia Colombia!) and honestly I don’t like how compact and thick espresso tastes, to drink every morning anyway. (I returned a Nespresso before buying this. Not for me). I use just 2 “big scoops” instead of the 4 recommended by Ninja, and it is the tastiest coffee, rivaling fresh ground bean pour overs and beating most, which is a shock to me. I think if you used the 4 “big scoop” recipe it would work well for drinks with milk. I don’t drink milk in coffee but can imagine double the strength working fine for that purpose.I no longer have time in the morning for pour overs, unfortunately, but this machine is really making it easy on me! I am in love with just touching a button and walking away- and getting better tasting coffee! It “blooms” the grinds and has a showerhead water dispenser, so it might just work better than a pour over, in terms of consistency. This recipe is strong, though, so I often clean out the filter and just hit the “classic” button again, into a clean glass, and use most of that water to dilute my drink. The idea is that coffee is simply less bitter the less time water is running over it. So brewing a lower yield cup for shorter time, and then adding clean hot water to taste, really does rival a pour over. I do this even for a half carafe- just select a lower yield option (see the quick guide) checking that the brew coming out never becomes that pale brown color (that’s the bitter part). Just always clean out the used grinds to get some clean water. You have to play with the preset output options and amount of coffee to make a larger quantity this way. But it’s way less time to do than standing over the grinds and pouring yourself. My main concern is heating water inside plastic, which is why I started using the pour over method. I wish Ninja would make it BPA free and label it as such, as some other brands do. I was not able to find a machine without plastic, and the BPA free brands had some bad reviews about performance, which I don’t have time for. So Ninja, if you’re reading, please make your coffee makers BPA free as I know lots of people won’t use coffee makers due to the plastic. I just have been forced into using a machine, so, taking my chances but really enjoying the coffee. If you are looking at other Ninja models, or other single serve option coffee makers, this guy has it all and performs very well. You can go from a single morning cup to making a full pot, and all the milk drinks. It does it all. I read so many reviews and they are right. This is a great machine.I store the water tank in the fridge when Im done to prevent mold growth. There is definitely water inside the machine after a brew (same as any model) so dont let this sit unused and definitely run the cleaning cycles as recommended. I will be keeping my eye on where the water goes in.But the removable tank is easy to pop in the fridge. I really like that.Ok! Please click helpful if this helped you! I am late to work now but wanted to help you out! Have a good one and hope you buy this guy! 🙂

Love This Machine!
I absolutely LOVE this coffee maker! I’ve put it through it’s paces, and it functioned perfectly. Excellent coffee, hot or iced. I like the half pot, because I get 2 cups and that’s all I need in the morning. I can’t recommend this appliance highly enough!

Good cup of coffee machine, with options
For context, I’ve owned several Nespressos, a manual espresso machine, KCup machine, etc….which all were fine and have their pros. Though KCups are not my favorite. But this coffee machine is currently my favorite and I can see it being a household staple for quite awhile. This thing is great for single cup brews to save on your coffee bean or ground usage. The scoop they provide tells you how much grounds to use based on your cup or pot size, which is great! I tended to waste more coffee on traditional machines as I always used too much! You have several cup sizes to choose from including full or half pot. The temperature is hot but not “let this cup sit for 5mins before you can take a first sip”, hot.I really like the specialty function which does 4oz. You use more grounds with this option so the coffee is a bit strong, which is excellent for those protein iced coffees or milk heavy coffee drinks. It’s easy to select your cup or pot size with the turn knob and coffee strength and style with the buttons. If you have something set wrong or not enough water, it will alert you.Overall, excellent machine I’d recommend to anyone who just wants a good cup of coffee with options.

From Keurig to this—and never going back
I love this coffee maker. Went from a single-cup Keurig to the Ninja XL, and it’s a total upgrade. You can brew one cup or make a whole carafe if you’ve got guests (or just need a full-on caffeine day). The iced coffee feature is legit—it actually tastes good cold, not like watered-down leftovers. Comes with a scoop, reusable basket, and no weird parts to clean. It looks good on the counter and it works hard behind the scenes. Keeper status confirmed.

Coffee Taste Never Fails
Update:11/18/2024 – Had this coffee maker since 2021. We use it every day and it still makes great coffee. The frother is a REAL game changer when used on creamer or milk, it gives my coffee an even more full bodied flavor they way I like on Specialty mode. Still works amazing. No regrets.Update: almost 5 months later it’s still making great tasting coffee and I finally used the CLEAN function at least once every week since a month ago. Just added a bit of vinegar with the water and it self cleans under the Full Carafe setting. Nice functionality. We’ve since cut down on the number of scoops now that we’re doing individual cups. I like mine stronger vs my husband’s so it adheres to our liking which makes this machine still great and now I’ve given it 5 stars. Good investment for coffee lovers.Old review: So it’s been about 7 weeks since I bought this coffee dripper and I have to say it’s been money well spent so far. This is an upgrade from a regular brewer (made 12 cups) that we had to buy paper filters for and it was a cheap one from the store that we had for almost 12 years and used almost every day until it brewed its very last pot and we sadly had to find a replacement…Now that I have digressed, here is a list of pros and cons I have on this product:Pros:1. Is a coffee dripper (multiple droplets of the coffee into the pitcher). Coffee has better flavor and is stronger vs your average coffee brewer (single drip through filter)2. Has its own reusable filter (for which I love!)3. Has a FROTHER! (Selling point for us! Detachable and washable)4. Comes with a measuring spoon (also detachable and washable)5. Has 4 settings: classic, rich, over ice and Specialty (tastes almost like a real espresso)6. The Delay settings, super easy to use. (Set time for later brewing or next day)7. Has a clock/time that we can read in the dead of night8. Tells u when it’s done (beeps) and screen blinks the word END9. Has a drip stopper so coffee doesn’t leak from the filter when you’re grabbing some before it’s finished brewing10. Heats for 2 hours when brew setting is on HALF or FULL pitcher (can set for longer or turn on STAY WARM button)11. Has a CLEAN function that I haven’t used yet but probably should since we use this machine every day!12. Wait time not long for coffee to start brewing (1 min tops, I think its faster though)13. Different brewing size settings (cup, xl cup, travel mug, multiple, half pitcher, full pitcher)14. Simple basic cleaningCons:1. I wish the water tank could hold more water. Only holds the max amount of water for a full pitcher.2. Uses a lot of coffee grounds (we go through one 12oz pack in a week and half, sometimes only 7 days for 2 people) the measuring spoon calls for 3-4 large scoops for a half pitcher. We’ve found that 3 scoops tastes good to our liking. And 1 scoop is equivalent to 2 tbsps. (There are 2 separate scoop size on each end, small and large)Overall, if you don’t think you need all these amazing functions, then I suggest a simple brewer will do. But if you want something closer to the same coffee as your local coffee shop, this machine will get you there whenever and however you want.

We had 2.5 good years with this!!
Yes, I waited 2.5 years to write a review on this. I still vividly remember the excitement of it delivering from Amazon and firing it up, and it’s been all good memories since then. To start, we are replacing it due to it not functioning correctly anymore. Will try a hail-mary by doing a cleaning cycle tonight, but don’t have high hopes. The issue is that the coffee keeps dripping and dripping far beyond the time the Ninja beeps that it is done. It’s been doing this for about nine months or so. It was something we learned to live with, but now the water is actually backing up in the drip basket for some reason. We have not been able to find a clog. I think it has to do with the way the water is coming out of the top during the brew cycle. Yes, I did regular cleanings with vinegar as instructed in the manual (but we have soft water anyway.)Additional small issue: at some point our burner plate got scratched up. We never used abrasives to clean it, so I think this was due to knocking into the plate with the Yetis sometimes. If you are careful you can learn from our mistake. We don’t have a ton of surface area that’s scratched, but it still sucks.FYI: we never used the frother even once so I can’t speak to how it works. We also didn’t ever use the Delay function to have coffee waiting at the time of wake-up.This is a very cool-looking coffee machine to have on your coffee bar or countertop. The foldaway cup holder not only looks cool, it’s functional to stop splashing when you are brewing a single or double mug. We didn’t use it this way often; but it worked well.Half the time we were brewing the XL travel size into a Yeti using Classic mode, a quarter of the time we were brewing a half-carafe using Classic mode and it would stay on Keep Warm for two hours, and a quarter of the time I was brewing an Iced coffee into a Yeti. Every so often I’d use the specialty brew to make the Iced Coconut Chai Coffee recipe in the book (highly recommended!) All functions worked well and made delicious coffee. The benefits (besides it being so nice-looking) was the removable water reservoir, being able to make both hot and iced coffee, the durability of using it nearly daily for over two years, and the simple fact that it made GOOD coffee. I personally would recommend this to others, as I think it lasted a perfectly respectable amount of time. Just make sure to care for it the way it should be (with regular cleanings.) Now the tough part– replace this with the same model, or get the CM371 which has a Cold Brew function that has replaced the Specialty brew…?

The Cold Brew feature is a game changer!
The media could not be loaded.
So far so good. I just got this unit a couple of days ago and thus far I have no complaints about it. Was a little skeptical about buying this unit at first, because it looks exactly like the last ninja i had that was half the cost ($80). But looking the same is where the similarities ended. For one, the main reason this unit sells for like $160 when not on sale is because the addition of the cold brew feature. If you don’t drink and/or like cold brew coffee then i would not recommend this unit and would suggest Ninjas offerings that are $100 and under. On a side note though, the screen / software for this unit is updated and better than the $80 ninja i had, it even gives you a progress bar on your cup of coffee so you can see how close it is to being done brewing. The cold brew brews you a cup in about 10 minutes or less and a half carafe may take about 20 minutes or so, instead of waiting 12-16 hours to make cold brew the old fashioned way. It uses water that’s around 100 degrees or so, so its not technically brewed with “cold” water, and the end result isn’t EXACTLY the same as an authentic cold brew steeped for many hours but it is remarkably close and worth the slight compromise of using 100 degree water to get cold brew in minutes rather than hours. All in all, this unit won me over as I’ve always been a huge cold brew fan, and i would absolutely recommend it to you IF you are also a big fan of drinking cold brew coffee. Otherwise, save some money and get a cheaper model without cold brew.

Fantastic Tasting Coffee
I have been drinking coffee for about 30 years. However, after a bout of Covid in 2020, hot coffee had an acidic taste that never went away, total bummer. So, I switched to cold brew, which had zero acidic taste. It was full-bodied and rich (Bizzy Rich & Bold Cold Brew is amazing), my savior for the last 4 years. However, northern winters left me still wanting a warm cup of coffee. Recently I read how coffee makers can be part of the cause of acidic tasting coffee, and obviously not using a coffee that agrees with your pallet. I researched different makers and read reviews which led me to this Nanja. I am in love! I love the taste and the different options / functions. While I love alot about the Ninja, here are my top 3 (so far): 1) The coffee is not scorching hot. I use whole beans, then grind the beans myself. I am loving the Mayorga Coffee Cuban Roast Dark Roast = delicious!. For a hotter cup (or pot) warm your mug / craft first. 2) Options to brew a 9oz cup up to a whole craft (great options for when it’s just you or your whole family). 3) No dripping from the filter! I like a tidy kitchen, so no drips on the machine or countertops is definitely a plus!I highly recommend the Ninja, especially for those who truly enjoy the taste of coffee. This machine is not just made for a caffeine kick, it truly produces a high quality coffee meant to be enjoyed.

Great coffeemaker!
This is a GREAT coffeemaker. I love how easy it is to use and keep clean. I was using a Keurig and just got tired of the K-Cups. Now, I can buy fresh whole bean coffee and grind it up myself. I have been using it for about a year now and no issues. It also has a pleasing aesthetic look. I highly recommend this coffeemaker.

Enjoy ☕️

Love the different cup sizes it offers. We use 10 oz or 12 oz the most due to the size of our cups. The extra large water reservoir is Great! It has a mesh screen to hold the ground coffee and we supplement that with paper filters to avoid clogging the mesh and having to clean it often. Takes a little while to learn its quirks, but those aren’t show-stoppers. We love simple straightforward coffee, so nothing fancy was needed. Our last coffee maker was a Ninja as well. Been happy with this brand. We recommend it!
