Easy to clean
Husband loves and it makes it easy to clean out / compost the used grinds. Wish they sold a replacement beaker as I broke one in the dishwasher.

Great Press!!
Love this coffee press, wife wanted coffee but didn’t like the Keurig, so she wanted something that could cut down on waste. We take this everywhere, to the campsite, the in – laws, the picnic. allows us to make coffee and tea everywhere. the included grinds puller makes it soo much easier to clean and maintain. all the pieces, come apart to make cleaning a quick job. All in all, wife loves it.

Good coffee
I have been drinking coffee every which way for 50 plus years. My favorite method is pour over with a filter. Sometimes I run out of filters so I use this french press. I like it very much. Its not flimsy. Glass us thicker than other brands. It’s not perfect as some have noted. The pros outweigh the cons. Yes some drops of water get in the sides under the frame. Store it upside down or in your dish drainer after you rinse it out. No need to use soap every time. I add some vinegar with hit water and push the plunger down to soak for a bit, then rinse well. I only use the grounds holder thingy when I make a full pot for a guest. It won’t get ALL the grounds but most. I don’t see that as an issue. I would buy this french press again. One important hint. Push the plunger down very slowly to minimize grounds escaping up. Yes there are still a few grounds at the bottom of my cup. Who cares. Coffee still tastes good. Better than my fancy Keurig, which I also run out of costly pods. But now I have my cute oxo press to save the day.

Good Quality and Easy to Clean
I’m so glad I got this french press. Oxo made a good design here and I’m glad I wasn’t discouraged by the critical reviews. First, it’s true that some grounds get past the screen while plunging. But I’m fine with it as it’s not that bad. Use your own grinder and a very coarse grind setting. If you don’t want any grounds, use a method that uses a paper filter. This french press is well made and feels more solid than the Bodum the cat knocked over and smashed. It holds 32 oz, which is like 4 American sized cups of coffee, not 8. I mostly use it for cold brew. The grounds lifter makes it so easy to clean quickly, just pull it out and dump in the garbage or garden. The glass jar slides out of the metal case easier than Bodum if you want for cleaning, but I don’t bother. The plunger is easy to clean. OXO makes it all super easy. I’m enjoying a delicious cold brew latte right now as I write this.Update August 2021: If you are having trouble with grounds in your coffee while plunging, don’t plunge it at all. Just leave the screen on top of your liquid and pour it all through as if it was a strainer. There are many youtube videos on this. Super easy

Pretty much cleans itself
I like this a lot. I have been using it for loose tea. After steeping, rarely is there anything left behind when I pull out the bottom piece. It’s very nice not having to reach inside with my hand to get remaining tea leaves out. Some French Presses do not allow you to see through. I enjoy seeing the color of the liquid as the tea steeps. That can also help in knowing when to end the steep. One other nice thing is that there is a notch on the plunger lid that fits around the handle of the bottom piece. If that handle is in line with the handle of the press, then the plunger top is lined up for pouring.Well thought out piece of equipment.

Great quality!
I have many different french presses, but this one rapidly became my favorite.First, the grounds tray makes getting most of the used grounds out of the press REALLY easy – no more vigorous shaking of banging on the side of the trash can, accidentally splattering grounds on the wall/floor/cat! There’s very little space between the bottom of the press and the grounds tray so very little waste as well. Great design addition!Second, it pours well. Most of my presses have poorly formed spouts that will end up drippling coffee on my counter if i’m not REALLY careful. This one pours beautifully!Third – protective cage. I’ve lost too many good presses by accidentally banging the glass portions, shattering them while trying to clean. This model incorporates a partial steel cage which acts like armor, for which I am appreciative. All in all, a good quality product that not only performs its basic function well, but includes features to make it stand out from the rest. OXO products do not disappoint!Rating – 5 stars. Does its job, does it well. A joy to use every morning!

Grounds lifter wins the prize!!
I got this French press specifically for the grounds lifter. I have sensory sensitivities and dealing with the grounds of coffee i.e. touching them to scoop them out or having them everywhere would make it so I wouldn’t use my French press and would spend enormous amount of money on coffee outside my home. That part of neurodivergence, the sensory stuff, can really create a hiccup. I finally coughed up the money for this realizing it would be cheaper in one shot than buying coffee out all the time. It did not disappoint! The grounds lifter is exactly what it says it is, it does an incredible job of keeping the grounds in it when you pull it out and put them in the compost. It’s everything I dreamed of. Also, the press works great, the coffee tastes great, highly recommend 100% if you need a grounds lifter for your own personal process!
